Victoria’s Secret Direct Recall of Silk Kimono Tops
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Victoria’s Secret Direct, of Columbus, Ohio and Single, of Los Angeles, Calif. are recalling about 500 Silk Kimono Tops that were manufactured by Single, 57 units having been sold to consumers by Victoria’s Secret Direct. The kimono tops are made of fabric that fails to meet mandatory standards of fabric flammability in violation of the federal Flammable Fabrics Act. The sheer outer shell fabric of the kimono top can readily ignite and present a risk of burn injuries.

Sweaters with Feather Trim Recalled by Susan Bristol Inc.
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Susan Bristol Inc., of Boston, Mass., is voluntarily recalling about 1,100 Christmas Sweaters with Feather Trim. The marabou feather trim on the sweaters is dangerously flammable.

Men's Sweatshirts Recalled by Target Corp.
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Target Corp., of Minneapolis, Minn., is voluntarily recalling about 6,000 men's hooded, zip-up sweatshirts. Trends Clothing Corp., of Miami, Fla., manufactured the sweatshirts. The fleece fabric on the inside of these sweatshirts fails to meet federal mandatory standards of fabric flammability because it can ignite readily if exposed to flame, and therefore presents a serious risk of burn injuries in violation of the Federal Flammable Fabrics Act.

Bikes and Scarves Recall
Two product safety recalls were conducted by firms in cooperation with the CPSC. Dynacraft Industries Inc., of San Rafael, Calif., is recalling about 500 mountain bikes for repair. The front wheel could fall off while the bike is being ridden because the quick release mechanism may be difficult to tighten sufficiently. Tie Rack Inc. (Tie Rack) and Tie Rack Stores Inc. (Knot Shop) of Ontario, Canada are voluntarily recalling about 1,170 sheer silk scarves. The scarves, which fail to meet federal mandatory standards for fabric flammability, could ignite readily and present a serious risk of burn injuries.

In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), Hardwick Knitted FabricsInc. of West Warren, Mass., announces the recall of anestimated 16,800 fleece garments. Most of the garments arechildren's vests and pants; infant shirts; men's shirts; andladies' tops, top and pants sets, and robes. These garments,which fail to meet federal mandatory standards for fabricflammability, could ignite readily and present a seriousrisk of burn injuries in violation of the Federal FlammableFabrics Act. Fabrics that do not comply with the standardtypically burn faster than newspaper.
