July 2, 2003- "Spit Smatter" Spray Foam Recalled by JAKKS Pacific
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), JAKKS Pacific Inc., of Malibu, Calif.is voluntarily recalling about 1.3 million "Spit Smatter" Spray Foam Cans. The aerosol cans can forcefully break apart, posing a risk of serious injury to nearby consumers.
September 2, 1999- Flammable Spray String Recall
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), three firms, Stelex Enterprises Inc., of Los Angeles, Calif.; Major Import, of Whittier, Calif.; and LeSa Yang Family Ltd. of Diamond Bar, Calif., are recalling about 912,000 cans of spray string sold under the names "Crazy Ribbon" and "Crazy String." These spray strings' propellant is extremely flammable, creating a serious risk of burn injuries when sprayed near an open flame, such as birthday candles.
January 21, 1999- Flammable Spray String Recalled by KMC USA
In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), KMC USA Inc., of FranklinPark, Ill., is recalling more than 190,000 cans of PartyTime "Happy String." The product is hazardous if sprayednear an open flame due to the flammability of thepropellant. Because it is a flammable product intended foruse by children, it is a banned hazardous substance. Use ofthe spray string around flame sources, such as candles,could result in serious burns.
